Sacramental Records Requests
SACRAMENTAL RECORDS REQUESTS
Baptism, Marriage, Confirmation Certificates? We can help!
How?
Generally, to obtain a sacramental certificate, you typically need to contact the specific parish where the sacrament (baptism, first communion, confirmation, or marriage) was celebrated. You'll need to provide information like your name, date of the sacrament (if known), and parents' names, and may need to show photo ID. The parish will then locate the record and issue a certificate with the official seal. If sacraments were celebrated at St. Brigid's Church, please contact us. If you aren't sure where they were celebrated, reach out to us and we can try to help!

Guidelines
- If you know where the sacrament was received, great! If not, you might need to ask family members, check old records (birth certificates, etc.), or contact the diocese or a Catholic Enquiry Centre for assistance.
- Contact the Parish: Reach out to the parish office (by phone, email, or in person). Explain that you need a sacramental certificate and provide the necessary details.
- Provide Information: Be prepared to give the parish specific information to help them locate your record. This usually includes:
- Your full name at the time of the sacrament
- The date of the sacrament (or an approximate date if you don't know the exact date)
- The names of your parents.
4. Complete Forms and Pay Fees: Some parishes may have specific forms to fill out, or they might have fees for processing the request.
5. Receive the Certificate: Certificates can usually be picked up in person with ID or mailed to you or another parish.
