Prayer Life
"Could you not watch one hour with me?"
-Matthew 26:40
The Power of Prayer

The Rosary is a powerful Catholic prayer, believed to bring spiritual transformation and deeper connection with
Christ through Mary's intercession.
Praying the Rosary is a contemplative practice focused on meditating on key events in the lives of Jesus and Mary.
The Rosary is often seen as a spiritual weapon against sin, fear, and evil, offering graces and strength through faith.
Prayer Life
Prayer is the opening of the heart and mind to God. Prayer is not just a detail but the heart and soul of all we do. “Come Holy Spirit” Jesus said. The Holy Spirit is the necessary source for every thought and word, from the very beginnings of the church until today.

Adoration Thursdays
What is Eucharistic Adoration ?
Eucharistic Adoration is a Catholic devotion dating back to the early days of the Church. It involves exposing a consecrated host, the Blessed Sacrament, allowing people to sit and pray in the presence of Jesus Christ. Adoration specifically refers to any prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament whether in front of a closed Tabernacle or in front of the exposed host in a monstrance. Exposition refers specifically to prayer in front of the exposed host in a monstrance. You may hear these terms used interchangeably.
During Eucharistic Adoration, it is appropriate to do any of the following:
- Read and reflect on readings from the Bible or other spiritual writings
- Pray the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet or any other favorite devotions
- Converse with God through spontaneous prayer or journaling
- Sit quietly and listen or just enjoy being in the presence of Christ
When is Eucharistic Adoration offered at St. Brigid's?
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament of Jesus Christ is from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM every Thursday in the Church.
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a silent devotion of prayer and meditation.
- Chaplet of Mercy at 3:00 pm & Spanish Holy Hour (Hora Santa) from 5:00 – 6:00 pm.
Quiet Reflection in a Chaotic World
Eucharistic adoration offers numerous benefits, primarily strengthening one's relationship with Christ, fostering spiritual growth, and promoting peace and clarity. It provides a space for quiet reflection, allowing individuals to encounter God's presence and receive grace. Furthermore, it can lead to healing, transformation of character, and a deeper understanding of God's love and sacrifice.
